Adopt A Family Application Requirements

Homeless in Tarrant County, priority giving to those living in shelters and cars.

Must be employed, at least part-time basis.

Have access to transportation or own a vehicle.

 Have a current valid Texas driver's license or Texas ID.

 Have no warrants. All tickets must be paid or on a payment plan.

Registered for Section 8 housing.

Have one or more children 16 or younger

Be drug-free and/or alcohol-free for the last 12 months or completed a qualified drug treatment program at least six months ago.

At least one adult in the family must be 18 years old or older.
