Partner with the CEC to Help Families in Our Community
Donations
Cash Donations
Cash, checks, debit
cards and credit cards (Master Card, VISA, Discover or American Express)
are accepted. You may designate your gift to a specific program or for
the CEC in general by making a notation on the memo line of your check
or checking the box on the return envelope. Donations may be made by
mail, phone or online. Contributions are acknowledged in the CEC
newsletter unless you request to be anonymous.
Monthly Bank Draft
or Credit Card Donations
Monthly gifts help
sustain the CEC's ongoing operations and programs. Please call Amy
Walker to set up monthly giving. You will need to provide your account
number, expiration date, name as it appears on the account/card and your
signature. Typically donations are run the first full week of the month
or in the middle of the month.
Honorariums and
Memorials
Donations may made
in honor of or in memory of a special person in your life. Please
provide the name of the person to honor and their address or the name of
the person you wish to memorialize and the person you wish to know about
the memorial gift. A letter will be sent to the honoree or the memorial
designee announcing that a donation was made (we do not disclose the
amount). Honorariums and memorials are acknowledged in the CEC
newsletter.
On-Line Giving
On-line gifts are
accepted through JustGive.com (see link below). Simply click on JustGive
and follow the directions. JustGive provides information on individual
non-profits and allows people to make online contributions to those
non-profits. JustGive charges a 3% service fee for their service and a
minimum contribution of $5 is required.

Stock Gifts & Other
Non-Cash Items
Donations of stock
and other non-cash items are accepted on a case by case basis. Please
call
Amy Walker
to discuss your gift.
Planned Giving
You can provide for the Community
Enrichment Center through your estate. Planned or deferred gifts enable
the CEC to plan for the future because they will be realized at a later
date. You can make a planned gift by naming the CEC as a beneficiary in
your Will or by naming the CEC as owner and beneficiary of a paid-up
life insurance policy.
Your attorney and financial advisor can
discuss the various types of charitable trusts and the estate tax
benefits of each, and assist you in setting up a planned gift that is
tailored to your personal needs.
One of the easiest ways to make a gift
is by leaving the CEC a bequest in your Will. There are several ways you
can do this. You can give a specific amount of money to the CEC; or give
a specific item of property to the CEC; or give a specified percentage
of the residue of your estate to the CEC (the residue of your estate is
that which is left over after all specific gifts have been made, whether
charitable or non-charitable).
A bequest may be included in the body
of a will or as an amendment (codicil). Gifts made through a bequest
typically provide an estate tax deduction. Please consult your attorney
and/or financial advisor for specific information. You may also contact
Amy Walker to discuss Planned Giving benefiting the CEC.
The following simple language can be
used to make your gift:
"I give and devise to the Community
Enrichment Center, or its successor, the sum of _________ Dollars
($_________) to be used for such charitable purposes as the governing
body of Community Enrichment Center deems appropriate; provided,
however, that at the time of such gift, Community Enrichment Center or
its successor, must be a charity as described in Sections 170(c) and
2055(a) of the Internal Revenue Code."
OR
"I give and devise ________ percent
(________%) of my residuary estate to Community Enrichment Center, or
its successor, to be used for such charitable purposes as the governing
body of Community Enrichment Center deems appropriate; provided,
however, that at the time of such gift, Community Enrichment Center, or
its successor, must be a charity as described in Sections 170(c) and
2055(a) of the Internal Revenue Code."
Grocery Store and
Online Rebates
iGive.com
When you shop using
iGive web site, up to 26% of your purchase will benefit the CEC. Go to
ww.igive.com to register and select the CEC as your beneficiary. Then
shop for items from more than 600 popular retailers. The more you shop,
the more the CEC receives.
Kroger
Kroger has
discontinued its Share Card but you can designate the CEC as beneficiary
of your purchases by linking your Kroger Card to the CEC. Please call
the CEC office to request a bar code via mail or fax. Take the bar code
to the store to scan and link your Kroger card to the CEC’s account.
Each time you make purchases have the clerk scan your card and a portion
of your purchases will be rebated to the CEC.

visit to Tom Thumb, stop by the customer service desk and fill out the
top portion of the Good Neighbor application form to link Reward Card to
the CEC’s account (#2739). Each time you shop at Tom Thumb, have the
clerk scan your Reward Card and a portion of your purchases will be
rebated to the CEC.

Matching Gifts

on matching gift programs and submit a matching gift form with your
contribution. Employer matching gifts may also be available to you if
you are the spouse of an employee, a retired employee or the
spouse/widow/widower of a retiree.
Sponsorship Opportunities
Annual Sponsors
Each year the CEC hosts
special events benefiting families in our programs or honoring the
donors and volunteers who make it possible to fulfill our mission.
The Annual Sponsorship
Program is structured for you to select the specific events you wish to
sponsor. Annual Sponsors are acknowledged in event publicly materials as
well as the CEC newsletter (mailed 5,000 people four times a year) and
the CEC Web site. Click here for more information about our
annual events or to download an
Annual Sponsorship form to
complete and submit.
Program Sponsorships
You may sponsor one
or more families in the Adopt-A-Family or Open Arms Program by making a
donation of $1,200 or of $100/month per family (via check, bank draft or
credit card). You will receive a profile of each family you sponsor
written by the family’s case manager. Sponsorships assist the CEC with
providing housing, food, counseling and education/employment assistance
to families working towards self-sufficiency.
Food Pantry sponsorships
are $50 per month or more (via
check, bank draft or credit card).
Your sponsorship will support Food Pantry operations including food
purchases, utility and maintenance expenses and the salaries of two
staff members (most of the work done in the Pantry is performed by
volunteers.)
Special Event
Sponsorships
The CEC hosts two
fundraising events each year: the CEC Golf Classic and the Seasons of
Hope Luncheon & Style Show. Each event offers sponsorships that include
a variety of levels and benefits. Proceeds from the events benefit the
CEC's programs and services. Click here to learn more about the
Golf
Classic or here to learn more about
Seasons of Hope.
Host Your Own Event
Each year local
companies and community groups host events benefiting the CEC. From toy
and food drives to car washes and fashion shows, your group's next event
can raise funds to support the CEC's mission and programs. Please
contact Amy Walker to discuss plans for your upcoming event.
