CEC Community Christmas
Dec 13,2008
Sponsored by Harris Methodist HEB Hospital Each year the CEC hosts a Christmas Party for families in its programs. With the help of the community, the CEC is able to provide food, toys and fellowship to families who wouldn't have a Christmas without our help. In addition, families from six local elementary schools will be invited to participate and more than 400 children and their parents are expected to attend. The CEC Christmas Party will be held on Saturday, December 13 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Richland Hills Church of Christ. Christmas Party plans include a variety of family friendly entertainment including crafts, games and a bounce house. Santa makes a special appearance at the party and hands out gifts to each child. Other activities include lunch, family photos and Christmas caroling. Parents have the opportunity to pick out toys for their children and kids can make or pick out presents for their parents so everyone has something to open on Christmas morning. Families also receive a voucher for a holiday meal from the Food Pantry. If you would like to "adopt" a child or family by providing gifts of toys and/or clothing, please contact Donna Riddick. Donna will provide the name, age and sizes needed for each child and adult you adopt. Would you like to host a holiday food drive? Please contact Ron Parish for a list of needed food items and suggestions for making your food drive successful. Looking for a meaningful volunteer experience for your group or family? There are numerous volunteer opportunities on Friday, December 12 (set up) and Saturday, December 13 (coordinating activities, clean up). Please contact Cindy White for more information or to sign up. Sponsors are needed to provide support for the event. Please contact Amy Walker or click here for more information about Annual Sponsorships. Special Thanks to the CEC Christmas Party Sponsors!
