The Community Enrichment
Center's Community Christmas Project has evolved from its early days when it was called Last Resort signifying that it was the last opportunity for low-income parents to select toys for their children before Christmas. In
2006, Community Christmas will still provide toys, but it will also provide much more in terms of potential services aimed at single parent families. The objective for the project has grown from just providing toys to trying to help these families now so they won’t need to come back each year for assistance.
The pictures on this page show the
2005 Community Christmas, which distributed toys to 369 families with a total of 959 children. Our objective in
2006 is to serve about 300 single parent families and to provide them with much more than just toys.
