Single Parents Program

The CEC Food Pantry is starting a new program specifically designed for single parent families that are clients of the Food Pantry or otherwise invited to participate. This monthly program  consists of a dinner followed by a life-skills class or discussion on a specific topic requested by the single parents. Childcare from ages 2 to 12 is provided. The CEC surveyed this group at the 2005 Community Christmas and identified parenting skills as an area with the highest interest. Financial education is another issue we focus on. Other topics will be determined as the group needs are better understood.
