Community Ministries is a faith-centered outreach whose goal is to build
a stronger community. Its focus is on issues related to social isolation,
hunger and aging. Families in crisis find the support and encouragement they
need to become stable and self-sufficient.

The Food Pantry dispenses approximately 600,000 pounds of
groceries annually to low income and elderly households in Northeast Tarrant
County. Providing groceries to these families allows them to have funds to pay
for other needs like rent, mortgage, utilities, education and medical expenses.

The Food Pantry is support by local churches, businesses and volunteer groups
who host food drives and volunteer their time. Visit Volunteer for more information

coordinating a food drive for the CEC.

The Senior Network provides a healthy, fun environment
and social network for adults 62 and older. Addressing the issue of senior isolation,
this ministry meets each Wednesday from 9:30 am – 12:00 pm for devotionals,
games, exercise, senior pertinent speakers, day trips and service projects. Snacks
are always provided and lunch is served on the first Wednesday of each month.

The Single-Parent Family
Network exists to provide support and empowerment to divorced, separated, widowed
and unwed parents and their children. This ministry meets on the third Thursday
evening of each month for dinner, speakers, games, relevant conversations and
enjoyable fellowship. Childcare is provided for children ages 2 to 12.
